Suffolk Ladies County Golf Association
The Association shall be called The Suffolk Ladies’ County Golf Association (SLCGA) hereinafter referred to as “The Association”. The Association was affiliated formerly to the Ladies’ Golf Union (LGU) and is now to England Golf.

Aspley Guise here we come for County Match Week…

The County team loads up and sets off for Bedfordshire to compete in the first round of the English County Championship on Sunday, 16th June.   It is an exciting time for the players, for many of whom the event offers the most demanding golf of the year.   All will be hoping to produce their best game and we will bring their progress to you as soon as we can each day.

Suffolk’s order of play begins with the match against Norfolk on Monday, 17th June.  Then for the next four days, the calendar reads Essex, Cambs & Hunts, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.  The team will almost certainly need at least three wins from the five games to have a chance of occupying the East Region’s allotted slot at the County Championship Finals to be played from 16th – 20th September at Delamere Forest Golf Club, Northwich, Cheshire.

Vicki Inglis, Suffolk’s Captain, is optimistic about her team’s chances. As a reminder, the team consists of Samantha Annis (Ipswich), Alice Barlow (Bury St Edmunds), Vanessa Bell (Ipswich), Lils James (Bungay & Waveney), Sharon Luckman (Ipswich), Amanda Norman (Felixstowe Ferry), Georgia Parker (Bury St Edmunds), Abbie Symonds (Ipswich) and Lottie Whyman (Aldeburgh).  They are a strong team and we will all be wishing them the best of good fortune and an enjoyable week in the Bedfordshire countryside.
