Welcome to the S.L.C.G.A

Suffolk Ladies County Golf Association
The Association shall be called The Suffolk Ladies’ County Golf Association (SLCGA) hereinafter referred to as “The Association”. The Association was affiliated formerly to the Ladies’ Golf Union (LGU) and is now to England Golf.

Dear golfers around the County,

Welcome to our new website!  We are very excited to bring it to you as a bright and easy news review, full of information and history of our Association.  We not only hope you will like it a lot but will also find it a useful add-on to your golfing life.  We are really grateful for the efforts of everyone who has offered ideas as we’ve gone along and to Ryan from RD Design, the designer, who has brought the plans to fruition so speedily.

We hope you will enjoy using the site and if you have anything of particular interest that you would like on the news section please send them to us.  We’d love to receive lots of pictures, news and views that we can bring to all our friends. Without your help, it will be difficult to keep up a lively stream of information and our aim is to bring you competition results and draw news as speedily as we are able.

Please send contributions to info@suffolkladiesgolf.org.uk and remember to tell us the names of those inhabiting any pictures (you are asked to give names left to right please).Join us and enjoy!

Best wishes to you all,
Mo Pearson
President SLCGA

Our Association

Suffolk’s aims have always been to promote the game within its borders, with particular reference to the female half of the population of all ages and at all standards of play.
Because talent is so varied and the handicapping system happily allows people of varying levels of expertise to take each other on in keen competition, enjoyment is the key and the spirit in which Suffolk players take to the fairways, their adherence to the rules of the game and their consideration for others on and off the golf course has always been important. Excellence is prized, but reaching individual potential whatever that may be is perhaps even more highly valued.

With that thought in mind, this website is dedicated to the whole membership and it is hoped that everyone who belongs to the Suffolk Ladies County Golf Association, from the very youngest to the most elderly still happily engaged in the game, will feel a sense of ownership and help it to become a source of interest for us all by providing news, views and pictures via the contact link.
