Eloise Aldous, Alice Barlow and Abbie Symmonds are currently playing in the English Girls Open Amateur Championship at The Warwickshire Golf Club (29th – 31st July). Set in very English countryside just a few miles from the county town, The Warwickshire has 36 holes and fantastic clubhouse facilities. With a par of 72. a composite course serves as the Championship 18 holes for the girls
Top of the list after thirty-six holes was Lizzie Prior from Burhill who returned a 71 followed by a sparkling 69. Our girls didn’t quite match that standard but they all returned acceptable scores in the first round and are probably moving on as we write. They have to climb into the top 36 to play on the final day.
