Georgia Parker and Chloe Dixon played at the weekend in the Suffolk Ladies Championships at Ipswich Golf Club.

Georgia finished 1st in the nett competition taking the coveted Berendt Handicap Jug which so many county champions have won in the past. Georgia will certainly be in the fold to graduate to the main county squad with her round of 76 nett 69   -4 par. The main event was reduced to one round due to torrential rain flooding the course. Georgia played Molly Newson a former junior county team player and a close match was won on the 18th 2up. In her Quarter Final Georgia was pitted against the experienced Suffolk player Lils James and in a great match finally came a little short losing on the 16th  3 & 2.

Chloe Dixon playing in her first ever county championships also produced some good golf and made it through to play in the last 16, unfortunately being drawn against Suffolk Strokeplay champion Lottie Whyman giving away 16 shots and playing off scratch is tough. A great effort by Chloe to take Lottie to the 13th hole.
