Haskell Final

The Haskell Trophy has run smoothly since May, with only a few problems finding mutual play dates.
The semis were held on September 3rd.with Aldeburgh playing Ipswich at Southwold and Woodbridge taking on Southwold at Bungay.

Many thanks to Bungay and Southwold for hosting these fixtures.

Aldeburgh and Woodbridge then progressed to the final at Felixstowe Ferry on Sunday Oct 1st.
Sophie Warner and Sarah Saggers (Aldeburgh) played Melissa Coffey and Pippa Neall (Woodbridge).

The match was all square at lunchtime, and the afternoon play swung to and fro. It was a terrific tussle, with Woodbridge eventually winning on the 36th hole. The players were pretty exhausted in the fading light!

Many thanks to all at Felixstowe for making the day so enjoyable, and the sun shone too.
