“Thought you might like to know that Lily is having a great time.   She has qualified for the second tournament and is playing in Bonita Springs, about 800 miles away from the University in Pensacola.   She says it’s beautiful.   The night before the tournament the Coach took the team for tea on the beach.   How nice is that!   She is getting used to the heat a bit more now, having struggled at first as it was in the mid 30s.  What’s more, they have to carry their golf bags as they are not allowed trolleys.   This tounament has signs in the lakes saying ‘Beware of Alligaors’.  I think that might be why they’re allowed buggies for this one!

Lily’s really busy;  she has to qualify for every tournament and has been away twice already.   When she returns she has lots of work to catch up on, but it’s good she’s so busy.   I think she’s missing the dogs the most!  The apartment is great with its own pool where everyone hangs out in the evenings.   It’s just a different world.   She shot two over par yesterday in round 1 and plays round 2 today.   She sat in the clubhouse afterwards and Bernhard Langer was there.   He had been watching his daughter who was playing for another University.   Lily said:  ‘how cool is that!'”
