The Heart of Golf in East Anglia’
Our well presented and interesting heathland golf course is built on sandy, free draining soil. This means we offer a high quality golf experience, all year round. We do not have temporary greens and are rarely forced to close.
You can find us on the outskirts of Diss, right on the Suffolk/ Norfolk border. We have good travel links and are in easy reach of Norwich, Ipswich, Thetford and Bury St. Edmunds.
We are renowned for our small, but beautifully manicured and perfectly true running greens. You are also likely to see a variety of attractive wildlife species during your round, from rare wild flowers, to deer, stoats and birds. Our course is enjoyable for all standards of golfer and we are confident you won’t leave disappointed. We welcome golf societies and corporate groups throughout the year and can offer bespoke packages, to suit all needs.
Our clubhouse houses a well-stocked, relaxed bar and restaurant and we provide a varied bar menu with delicious, homemade food. Our great value Sunday carvery is always popular and is open to members and non-members. Booking is advised, so please get in touch to reserve your table. Our clubhouse facility is available to hire for members and non-members. We are a perfect venue for various functions and events, such as wakes, sports club dinners and lunches, birthday parties, anniversaries, wedding receptions and Christmas parties. We work hard to be environmentally friendly and enhance the ecological system on our golf course. We are conscious of not using too many chemicals and instead use more natural, holistic methods to maintain our course. We are looking to maintain and reintroduce all the attractive varieties of wildlife species you would expect to find on this type of land. We like to think of playing here as ‘golf in its natural surroundings’.
We were proud to be shortlisted for the national Home Unions Golf Environment Award in January 2020, in recognition of our environmental and ecological work to date. We recognise we are in a privileged position to be in charge of this area of land and our aim is to maintain it in the most attractive, beneficial and natural way possible.
