The keenly contested annual match, for the Skevington Cup, between the Association of Suffolk Golf Captains aka ‘The Men’ and ourselves was played at Southwold on Friday 20th. August.
This is always a popular event, and this year proved no exception, with six pairs from each team playing 4BBB.
We are delighted to report that once again the ladies prevailed, winning four games out of the six! The ladies have now won eight times to the gentleman’s nine, since the trophy’s inception in 2004.
The men took it all in good spirit and we all enjoyed a convivial post match meal….herb crusted cod being on the menu rather than Southwold’s traditional fish and chips.
Denise and I would like to thank all who took part, and Paddy Lockwood who organised the day with his usual aplomb!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Ipswich Golf Club for our annual golf day and AGM.
