The Suffolk Seniors played their first match of the season in the newly inaugurated East Region Seniors Women’s League on Monday 20 June against Hertfordshire Seniors. Bury St Edmunds GC kindly hosted us and, on a beautiful, sunny afternoon, the players set off to enjoy competitive but friendly golf on a well prepared course. The games were keenly contested and the match finished in a draw – 3 / 3.
Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk make up this new seniors league at the moment with the hope that Bedfordshire and Cams & Hunts will join in the future. Each match is 6 singles off scratch. The results are below.
