Suffolk Seniors v Norfolk Seniors
Tuesday 8th September 2024 @ Woodbridge GC
Our third Anglian League match of the season v Norfolk was played at Woodbridge Golf Club on a beautifully sunny day. The course was in excellent condition with fast, smooth rolling greens and a tricky, sporting wind.
First match out saw our County President, Vicki Hunt, showing her true grit and determination to win on the final green 1up.
Jo Miller secured the second point of the day with an impressive 5&4 win.
The third, fourth and sixth matches were closely contested but unfortunately came up short.
This left Ann Fosker’s solid 3&2 win sufficient to ensure an overall halved match.
Highlight of the afternoon was a hole in one on the short par 3 seventh hole, by Norfolk’s Becs Shubrook. Drinks all round and lots of celebration capped off an extremely enjoyable afternoon.
Thanks to Woodbridge Golf Club for their hospitality, fabulous heathland course and delicious food.
Our visitors thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Suffolk.
